Apple has released a pair of new videos in honor of Autism Acceptance Month. In what seems to be an effort to outpace the “Light It Up Blue” bandwagon of Autism Speaks’ puzzle-pieced “Autism Awareness Month,” the tech giant has gone one step ahead, deliberately name-checking Autism Acceptance Month in two autistic-focused videos on YouTube.

It’s a critical step because autistic people, spearheaded by autistic advocate Paula Durbin Westby, started Autism Acceptance Month in 2011 as a response to the passive, do-nothingness of yet another Condition Awareness Campaign.
